We Are On A Journey

“On a journey home, I found myself in a house, unsure of how I got there. I was confused and thought it was all over. But then I said to myself that I could still make it home; all I needed was my address and I would find my way back” – A revelation I received on the afternoon of October 6, 2024.

We are on a journey; somewhere along the way, we lost our direction. Some have given up, while others struggle to find their way again. Only a few have rediscovered their path.

WHERE ARE WE GOING?

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that WHERE I am there you may be also. And where I go you know and THE WAY you know. Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know WHERE YOU ARE GOING, and how can we know THE WAY?” Jesus said to him, “I AM THE WAY, the truth and the life. No one comes TO THE FATHER except through Me (John 14:3-6).

Christ Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us and will come again when it is all said and done to take us home to the Father (John 14:1-4).

Revelation 21 tells us about a city whose builder and maker is God Himself – the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, the City of The Living God. The construction of its wall is of Jasper, and the city is pure gold like clear glass. The foundation is adorned with all kinds of precious stones. The city has no need of the sun or moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminates it. There is no night there and its gate shall not be shut. Our fathers and patriots called themselves strangers and pilgrims on the earth because they sought this homeland, a heavenly country which would one day come out of heaven from God. (Hebrews 11:9-10, 13-16, Rev. 3:12).

Only those whose names are found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life shall enter this beautiful city (Revelation 21:27).

HOW DO WE GET THERE? – THE WAY

Jesus said to him, “I AM THE WAY, the truth and the life. No one comes TO THE FATHER except through Me (John 14:6).

Nor is there salvation in any other, for THERE IS NO OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture” (John 10:7,9).

Christ Jesus is the only way, He is the door, our only access to the Father. He took our place in death so that we might take His place in life. God made Him who knew no sin to be sin that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). He paid the price with His blood to reconcile us back to the Father (Romans 5:10).

THE OTHER DESTINATION IS ETERNAL DAMNATION (HELL)

There will be wailing, gnashing of teeth and unending sorrow (Matthew 13:41-42).

Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it (Matthew 7:13-14).

And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE (Revelation 20:15).

YOUR CHOICE

The broad way leading to death or the narrow way leading to life through none other but Christ Jesus our Saviour.

“…Behold now is the acceptable time; behold, NOW is the (your) day of SALVATION (2 Corinthians 5:2).

If you have chosen life. Welcome to the family of God! You have made the best decision of your life (Romans 8:1).

WHAT DO I DO NOW? YOU MAY ASK…

Repent, that is first acknowledging that you have sinned and have gone astray and decide to turn around from your old sinful ways completely. It doesn’t matter how far you have strayed you can still return. It is God’s will that none should perish but that all would come to repentance and you are not exempted (2 Peter 3:9, John 3:16).

Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9, Mark 16:16).

Seek to be baptized by immersion. This is extremely important. In baptism, you share in Christ’s death, burial and resurrection and all that they represent. (Romans 6:3-13).

Commit to praying always (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Luke 18:1) and studying the scripture to maintain connection with the One who has redeemed you, learn His ways, grow in Him and be transformed to His image through the Holy Spirit whom the Father has given you as a guarantee of your inheritance in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:13-14). You must submit to His Lordship and love Him just as He has loved you and gave Himself for you (2 Corinthians 3:18, John 15:9).

If you love Me, keep My commandments (John 14:15).
